The ECSD is currently hiring for the following positions. 💜𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 The Library Media Specialist will primarily provide services to the students and staff of the Ellsworth Elementary School while also providing oversight of the middle school and high school library staff and operations. The Ellsworth Community School District currently serves approximately 1650 students district-wide. The Ellsworth Elementary School, which opened in 2018, provides a high-quality learning environment and library facility to 715 students from PK to grade 5. The library media specialist will work closely with staff at all levels to provide a wide variety of library media and technology learning experiences for all students while also providing oversight of the library media inventory and Common Schools Funds plan. 💜𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 The Instructional coach will work closely with K-12 teachers and administrators to support effective instructional practices in the classroom in a collaborative environment focused on Professional Learning Community Practices. The coach will provide specific instructional practice support while also focusing on the onboarding and initial support of new staff and specific initiatives of the district. This person will work with the staff during the regular school year while also being involved in the development of summer training for staff related to various instructional practices, family engagement practices, and the effective use of data to improve instruction. 💜𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 The Mathematics Specialist is a teacher leader with strong preparation and background in mathematics content, instructional strategies, and school leadership. They are responsible for supporting the professional growth of their colleagues and promoting enhanced mathematics instruction and student learning, for strengthening classroom teachers’ understanding of mathematics content and helping teachers develop more effective mathematics teaching practices that allow all students to reach high standards. The Specialists will share research addressing how students learn mathematics. The overarching goal for the Mathematics Specialist is to increase the mathematics achievement of all students. Today our State FFA CDE Teams will leave for the state contest. State contest is Thursday at UW-Madison. Below are the teams and how they placed at Regionals to EARN their state trip. The Forensics team competed in their State competition on Saturday. Earning a Bronze medal were Lily Vesely, Kallie Beissel, and Lilly Clark. Earning Silver medals were Aidan Johnson, Katie Pederson, Kona Lansing, and Rebecca Dendinger. Earning Gold medals, with perfect scores were Breana Blanch, Nina Augustine, Taylor Franklin, Maya Bueso, Axel Simonson, Holly Hufnagle, and Andrea Esterby. Congratulations to the entire team for a successful season!

Congratulations Sam Kollbaum and Ethan Oricchio on signing their national letters of intent to play college athletics. Sam will be attending Bethel University to play football & Ethan will be attending UW Stout to play golf. Ellsworth is proud to send these student-athletes off to represent EHS at the next level!

We have wonderful news in the music department! The following students auditioned in February and were accepted into the WSMA Honors Performing Groups. We are so proud of them! Please say congratulations if you see them. 2023 WSMA High School State Honors Music Project Audition Results This year, for the 2023 WSMA High School State Honors Music Project, more than 1,250 auditions throughout the State of Wisconsin for 426 positions in the five honors ensembles. The list posted on the WSMA website reflects the 426 students that are invited. Congratulations! They will spend 4 days at a camp at UW- Green Bay in June and then perform at the beautiful Overture Center in downtown Madison in late October.
