🏒 Calling All Floor Hockey Enthusiasts! 🏒 The Ellsworth Panther Floor Hockey Team is looking for teams to play against! 🎉 Our team is made up of talented and spirited students from EES, EMS, and EHS, and we’re ready to bring the fun! All games will be held at the Ellsworth Elementary School Gym - 445 S. 📚🍁 Fall D.E.A.R. Day Fun! 🍁📚 The EES Literacy Team, along with our amazing classroom teachers, organized a fantastic fall D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) Day to celebrate the joy of reading! Students enjoyed a variety of special activities, like buddy reading, flashlight reading, and cozying up with a book, blanket, and stuffy. The theme for the day was "Blaze Orange & Camo"—perfect for the season! 🍂 This fun-filled day was all about building a community of readers in creative and memorable ways. Plans are already in the works for winter and spring D.E.A.R. Days! 🖤💜

Congratulations to our high school Vocational Foods class for winning the door decorating contest during International Week! 🎨🚪 Their creativity and hard work truly stood out, earning them the top prize! To celebrate their big win, the class enjoyed some well-deserved cupcakes 🧁—because every victory tastes sweeter with a little frosting! 🎂✨ Great job to everyone who participated and helped make International Week such a fun and festive celebration! 💜🖤

🎉🧀🍞 Recipe Development in Action! 🍞🧀🎉 Mrs. Johnson's Food Service class turned up the heat with a test kitchen activity focused on grilled cheese recipe development! Students showcased their creativity, developing and perfecting unique sandwich creations. On the final day of the unit, we welcomed guest judges, including Jarod Traynor from Common Man, to taste the delicious results. The winning creation? A mouthwatering grilled cheese called "Sassy and Sweet" crafted by Sam Hines, Aiden Kelly, and David Oelrich! 🌟 🎉 Exciting news: Jarod will soon be featuring their winning sandwich on the menu at Common Man as a special treat! Congratulations to the winning team and all the students for their amazing work! 👏🍽️

The Ellsworth Gift Box had about 90 families apply this year and are still looking for sponsors for about a dozen. 🎉 Our School Supplies Have Made It to Ukraine! 🎉 We are thrilled to share that the school supplies sent by Ellsworth Hearts and Minds have safely arrived in Ukraine! A huge thank you to Melinda Casper and Anne Pechachek, along with the incredible students at Ellsworth High School, for their dedication and leadership in this project. Founded in 2008, Ellsworth Hearts and Minds has made a lasting impact by helping children worldwide, including in Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Ukraine, with much-needed school supplies. Through their efforts, students and staff have joined together to support education and make a difference. These supplies are helping Ukrainian kindergarten teachers and pupils organize their learning spaces and continue their educational journey during challenging times. Thank you, Melinda and the entire team, for your compassion, hard work, and faith in creating a brighter future. 💙💛

🩺 A Message from the School Nurse 🩺 We want to remind families about important guidelines to help keep everyone healthy this season: 🌡️ Fever: If your child has a fever of 100.0°F or higher, they should remain at home until they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication. 🤢 Vomiting or Diarrhea: If your child experiences vomiting or excessive diarrhea (three or more episodes within 24 hours), they can return to school once they have been free of symptoms for 24 hours. We’ve been seeing cases of mono, gastroenteritis (stomach flu), Influenza A, strep throat, and respiratory illnesses such as croup and bronchitis. 🔍 Please monitor your student’s health closely before sending them to school. If they are feeling unwell with symptoms like fever, vomiting, or diarrhea, allow them to recover at home to help reduce the spread of illness within our buildings. Your efforts make a big difference in keeping everyone well. Thank you for your cooperation and care!

Our members—Gen Cady, Emma-Rae Hines, Landyn Rusch, Joe Emery, Aiden Kelly, Grace Christian, Chrysler Huron, Peyton Berg, McKenna Edgar, Kendra Sutherland, Sammi Langhans, Aiden Miller, Aiden Jasin, Maddie Bowen, and of course, the one and only NATE, our FFA BOSS—all represented Ellsworth with pride!
