🎉 Exciting News for ECSD! 🎉
Over the past year, a dedicated committee of 12 community members and staff, along with our student coordinator, has worked hard to design an ECSD Hall of Fame program! 🏆 This program will honor distinguished Ellsworth alumni, retired or deceased ECSD staff, and community members who have shown incredible support for our district. 💜📚
The Ellsworth School Board has given its blessing, and we’re thrilled to announce that the inaugural class will be inducted in early 2025! 🎓✨ Starting now, the committee will open an annual call for nominations, with the first group being honored in March 2025 during a special event. 📅 The inductees will also be featured in both print and digital materials displayed at ECSD locations! 🖼️
We are now accepting nominations for inductees! 🎉 If you know someone deserving of this honor, we invite you to submit a nomination. 💌 All the details can be found on the school website here: 👇
https://www.ellsworth.k12.wi.us/page/hall-of-fame
Please help us spread the word by sharing this information with community members, parents, and anyone who has moved away but might know of a great nominee! 🗣️ Let's make sure this reaches as many people as possible. 🏫 Nominations will also be available at school events, sports programs, and more. The nomination period closes on Dec. 31st, 2024. 🗓️

I am excited to provide you with an update on our referendum projects! We have entered our final phase of design for both the middle and high school projects. At the high school, we are creating a Career and Technical Education (CTE) addition, which will establish collaborative learning spaces among our tech ed, agriculture, FACS, and business programs; a fitness center addition; and upgrades to some of our building systems in need of repair. At the middle school, we are creating collaborative learning spaces, enhancing safety and security in each grade wing, and upgrading systems and finishes that have not been updated since the school was built in the mid-90s.
The project was initially planned to start construction in June 2025, but we have found advantages in shifting the design and bidding a couple of months early. Bidding will now take place in November 2024, and we anticipate construction to begin in January/February 2025. With this shift, we are now expecting the completion of both the middle and high school projects to be in Fall 2025, nearly a year ahead of the original timeline. As we wrap up our final page turns and user group feedback, I look forward to sharing more updates with you on these exciting projects. I can’t wait to see the community’s vision of this referendum come to life!
One theme that I mentioned at the Salute to Educators event that has resonated with me in my short time in Ellsworth Community Schools is “partnership.” This project epitomizes that theme and really lays the foundation to continue growing the partnerships that not only exist but have yet to be imagined. Our vision of student-led production has guided the decision-making process throughout and continues to be one of the pillars of this project.
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or compliments, please reach out at 715-273-3900 or nadeaub@ellsworth.k12.wi.us.
