We still need 7-8 volunteers for two upcoming Ellsworth Middle School field trips! 📅 6th Grade – JA BizTown 🏙️ | May 6 📅 7th Grade – JA Finance Park 💰 | April 29 Both experiences take place at Junior Achievement North’s St. Paul facility, where students engage in hands-on, real-world learning. 🔹 JA BizTown (6th Grade) – A simulated city where students explore careers, build financial skills, collaborate, and invest in their community. 🔹 JA Finance Park (7th Grade) – A financial literacy program that helps students develop money management skills and prepare for real-life financial decisions. A background check is required for all volunteers. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our students as they gain valuable life skills! KiapTUWish Chapter of Trout Unlimited's is again holding a STREAM Girls event on May 17th for girls in grades 6-8. This is a day of fun on the Rush River in Ellsworth, WI at the beautiful Ellsworth Rod & Gun Club grounds. Students will learn about cold water ecology, how to cast a fly rod and tie a fishing fly. In stream activities include scooping up & identifying macroinvertebrates, calculating the river’s velocity and more! Lunch & snacks along with all waders, fly tying materials and fly rods will be provided. The students end the day fly fishing with their own personal, experienced fly-fishing guide. No fly-fishing experience is necessary. Completion earns the students a STREAM Girls patch. Held rain or shine! 🎨➕ Math + Art = Creativity! 🎨➕ Mrs. Kelly’s 8th grade math students combined numbers and creativity to design a Spring Math Art Show for Parent-Teacher Conferences! 🌸✏️ Using mathematical concepts, they created stunning artwork that showcases both their artistic talent and problem-solving skills. Be sure to check out their amazing work at conferences—math has never looked so beautiful!
