Exciting News for Ellsworth Middle School! We are thrilled to announce that Ellsworth Middle School has partnered with the Minnesota Timberwolves for their “Get Fit” Program! This fantastic initiative encourages our youth to stay active and play every day outside of school. Here’s how it works: students earn points for every 15 minutes of movement. This can include a variety of everyday activities, such as playing at the playground, shoveling snow, or even walking your dog! If you accumulate 25 points or more, you will receive a complimentary ticket to a Timberwolves game this season! If you're interested in participating in the GET FIT program, please pick up an information sheet from the office. Forms are limited, so act fast! Return completed form to Hutch or the office. Enter a float in the Ellsworth School District Homecoming Parade! 🙌 🗓️ Friday, October 11th @ 5:00 p.m. 📍 Floats meet at the bus garage no later than 4:45 p.m. 🌟 This is a community event open to everyone, and there’s NO charge to enter your float! If you don’t have a float, come join the fun as part of the crowd! 🎊 🚗🚓 Parade route: Starts in front of the high school, heads past EES, and ends at the Middle School front parking lot. Our 1st graders took a trip back in time all the way to the 1800s! 🕰️ After learning how life and families have changed over time, we spent the day pretending we lived long ago! 😍✨ From walking to and from school 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️, writing with chalk ✏️ on slate boards, bringing lunch in pails , to learning songs and games from the past 🎶🎲, it was an unforgettable experience! Our young historians had so much fun stepping into the shoes of children from long ago! 📚

Stepping Back in Time with Our 1st Graders! 📚👒 A few weeks ago, our 1st graders got to experience life in the 1800s, and they really embraced it! Some even dressed the part, walked to school, and completed their lessons on chalkpads just like in the old days. 🏫🖍️ They also had a blast playing good old-fashioned games like "throw a rock in the cup." 🎯🪨 What a fun way to learn about history and appreciate how far we've come!
